About Founder

I, Igmu Interactive's Founder, personally love so many games. I love the competitive stress of games like Valorant, Battlefield, League of Legends, and Mordhau, but I also love strategy games like Battle Brothers, Slay the Spire, and Rim World. I love RPGs with player choice: Cyberpunk 2077, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Fallout (3, NV, 4), Skyrim, and especially text-based games like Choice of Robots, Choice of Magic, Sabres of Infinity, and An Unexpected Green Journey. I love casual grindy games like Monster Hunter Wilds, Borderlands 2, ARK, Earth Defense Force, State of Decay 2, and the Infinity Blade series. Co-op games are amazing too, scary or not, like Crab Game, old Garry’s Mod, SCP: Secret Laboratory, Lethal Company, and R.E.P.O. Although sometimes I love the world/story more than the actual game such as Fear and Hunger, Five Nights at Freddy's, No I’m Not a Human, Dead Space, Undertale, Telltale’s The Walking Dead, and the masterpiece that is Claire Obscur: Expedition 33. Additionally, I’ve never gotten into end-game content in MMOs, but I love the idea of them. I just feel that the correct iteration of an MMO hasn't been created yet. I need something that has slow progression, in-depth systems, and a real risk and reward feel like the WoW OnlyFangs event/series.

All of this feeds into how I want to make games at Igmu Interactive. I want our games to be based on a recurring Attribute System, semi-physics-based systems, co-op even in single-player genres, tension from permanent loss but with some leeway so it’s not unfair, death that actually fits into the lore, and relationships between the player and the player character. Additionally, I'm inspired by Tsutomu Nihei, the creator Blame!, Knights of Sidonia, and other good works. I want my games to be in separate universes but all still kind of vaguely connected, lore wise. I want to make all kinds of games. I have no end to ideas through brain storms (sloppy writing), finished and unfinished Vision Documents, and half-finished GDD's. I might be a perfectionist or just lazy. I really need to pick a game.

Lastly, I chose "Igmu Interactive" for several reasons (2 or 3 reasons). One, because it's a connection or whatever to my NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE. Next, Igmu means Cat, and the company is for making video games. Gamers like cats. Period. Lastly, it fits so well for the logo. The two EYES of the cat are two I's. Also, I'd say it's wearable merch.
This writing is very sloppy. I just wanted to give a view on the type of games to expect.
